Introduction
This evening as we gather to hear a brief message that stirs our souls and ignites a holy fire within us, let us turn our hearts towards the call of Christmas.
For in this blessed season, God beckons us to embrace our purpose.
Turn your Bibles with me to the book of Ephesians, chapter 2, verse 10.
The Word of God declares,
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.
Application 1
Application 1
Saints of God, let these words sink deep into your spirits.
You and I have been fearfully and wonderfully made, uniquely crafted by the Almighty.
You were not created by chance or happenstance, but with a purpose, a divine purpose that echoes from the heavenly realms!
Around this time of the year, society tries to distract us, leading us astray with glittering distractions and temporal pleasures.
But we must remember that the purpose of Christmas goes beyond the material trinkets and empty traditions.
No, brothers, no sisters, there is a profound call to action in this season of joy!
Application 2
Application 2
Just as Jesus embraced His purpose, leaving the splendors of heaven to dwell among us, we must also take up our cross and respond to the call of Christmas.
We are called to love, for He first loved us.
We are called to bring hope, to a world enveloped in darkness.
We are called to be agents of peace, not only in our homes but also in our communities, spreading the Good News far and wide.
Brothers and sisters, when that divine encounter took place in the manger of Bethlehem, it was not just a historical event.
It was a clarion call.
A call for us to embody the love of Christ, to radiate His light into the darkest corners of the world.
We must let our actions speak louder than our words, displaying the tangible transformation that Jesus brings.
Application 3
Application 3
'Twas not enough for Jesus to be born, to live and die on our behalf.
No, beloved, He calls us to walk in His footsteps, to gather the lost sheep, to bind up the brokenhearted, to bring healing and redemption to a world in desperate need.
This is the purpose of Christmas, to respond to God's call with fervor and determination.
So, my dear brothers and sisters, as the lights shimmer, the carols resound, and the fragrance of cinnamon fills the air, let us not be mere bystanders of Christmas.
Let us be active participants, living on purpose, bringing the love, joy, and peace that can only come through Jesus Christ.

My prayer for each of us is that the Spirit of the Lord would ignite a holy passion within you, filling you to the brim with His power and love.
May your response to the call of Christmas ripple out, engulfing those around you, giving them a reason to hope, to believe, and to cling to the true meaning of this glorious season.
Go forth this season, my brothers and sisters, and shine.
Let your lives testify to the transformational power of our Savior, Emmanuel, God with us.
And as you walk in purpose and respond to the call of Christmas, may every word, every action, and every heartbeat bring glory to the One who was born in a humble manger, but who forever reigns as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Amen and amen!"
