Mustard Seed

Preached on the seemingly insignificant, but unimaginably powerful Kingdom of God this past Sunday.
And as I have thought about what started 50 years ago in this very building, I can’t help but think:
Did anyone envision what we are today?
Did anyone see the impact of this ministry in Ohio County, in Kentucky, in the USA, in the world??
We just sent someone to Spain to preach the Gospel.
We just shared with 130 plus kids last week.
In a few weeks we are going to Cincinnati to share with even more.
We have seen hundreds of people come to faith and be baptized.
There have been men and women called into ministry from this church
We have trained and sent out pastors, ministers, and missionaries.
Did anyone envision that?
What seemed like a tiny, insignificant mustard seed of a church, has made, and will continue to make a HUGE ETERNAL impact in this world.
What seemed like a fledgling little church, in a small town has grown something significant.
Did anyone envision that?
No, probably not, but lots of people have prayed for it.
Lots of people have invested their time, their tears, their sweat, and their money within the walls of these building, outside under the banner of EHBC, and all over their world with the help of this church family.
We were a mustard seed...
And, yet we have grown, and continue to grow, into a place where people find hope and rest in Jesus.
We are still a mustard seedling in a lot of ways, and only when we get to heaven will we be able to see just how large our reach actually has been.
Sing WHEN WE ALL GET TO HEAVEN!
