Introduction

This message kicks off a series looking at some your favorite accounts of the Bible.
Takes place during Babylonian captivity / exile. In other words, they are in an ungodly land trying to serve God

The three men did nothing wrong before God. God did not turn his back on them or leave them.
Their problem was not because God had abandoned them, but that God had a trial for them

Be willing to stand alone

Don’t underestimate the power of integrity
There will be times when we must be willing to stand alone

Your testimony can change others

Your testimony is your story; it’s your witness to what you’ve seen, heard, and encountered.
Our behavior under pressure reveals what’s inside
Your words and actions during a trial reveal our real nature

Jesus is in the fire with you

The men had no idea God was going to intervene. They merely determined that they were not going to give in
Remarkably, God showed up in human form—a Christophany—and preserved them
