“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.
Introduction
Introduction
In a quiet moment with His disciples, Jesus imparted words of profound comfort and encouragement.
He looked at them with deep compassion in His eyes and said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
With this assurance, Jesus urged them to carry on with fortitude and without fear, knowing that His peace would remain with them, providing strength and serenity amidst the trials they would face.
The pivotal question before us today: How can we cultivate and radiate this divine peace in 2024 and beyond?
How can we embody this peace that is so intricately connected to Jesus?
First, We Must Find Our Peace in Jesus
First, We Must Find Our Peace in Jesus
Jesus reminds us that the foundation of our inner peace is our relationship with Him.
Without His peace, we stumble through life’s chaos.
Without His peace, our hearts wrestle with fear.
Without His peace, our spirits remain agitated.
Without His peace, we cannot experience harmony in our relationships.
Without His peace, our faith wavers in the face of trials.
Without His peace, we lack the tranquility needed for clear decision-making.
Without His peace, the storms of life feel overwhelming.
It's like being in a stormy sea without an anchor, drifting and exposed to the rough waves.
We must be anchored in Jesus before any peace can flourish within us.
Secondly, We Must Pursue the Fruit of Peace
Secondly, We Must Pursue the Fruit of Peace
Paul, in Galatians, tells us that peace is a fruit of the Spirit.
Peace is the quiet assurance that pervades our lives, even in the face of trials.
It's a steady peace that helps us through our toughest times, a peace that comes from having Jesus with us.
But how often do we really try to find this peace, making a serious effort to chase after it?
The truth is, peace demands intentional effort!
Peace must be pursued
Peace must be nurtured
Peace must be guarded
Peace must be protected
& Peace must be prioritized
Actively pursuing peace not only calms our inner storms but also affects the lives of those around us positively.
But here lies our challenge:
If our lives aren't grounded in Jesus, we end up wandering through life's storms, easily tossed around by uncertainty and fear.
Warning
Warning
Jesus made it clear: without His peace, our lives are like dry, scorched branches under the hot desert sun. - John 15:6
If anyone does not remain in me, he is thrown aside like a branch and he withers. They gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
So How Can We Remain Anchored in Jesus’ Peace?
1. Trust in God's Promises
Anchor your peace in the unwavering promises of God, knowing that He is faithful and true to His word.
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on thee:
Because he trusteth in thee.
Trust ye in the Lord for ever:
For in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
2. Cultivate Gratitude
Maintain a thankful heart to experience a continuous flow of God's peace, recognizing His many blessings and provisions.
And let the peace of Christ, to which you were also called in one body, rule your hearts. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
3. Remain Steadfast Through Trials
Hold on to Jesus through life’s challenges, remembering that enduring faith brings peace amid adversity.
Consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.
4. Practice Forgiveness
Free your heart from bitterness by forgiving others, which brings peace both to them and to you.
And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.
“For if you forgive others their offenses, your heavenly Father will forgive you as well. But if you don’t forgive others, your Father will not forgive your offenses.
5. Focus on the Spirit
Walk in alignment with the Holy Spirit, who produces peace as a fruit in our lives.
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth. For he will not speak on his own, but he will speak whatever he hears. He will also declare to you what is to come.

As I close, Today we need to be Anchored in Peace of Jesus
We need to Be Anchored in the peace that passes all understanding.
We need to Be Anchored in the peace that calms our fears.
We need to Be Anchored in the peace that brings comfort.
We need to Be Anchored in the peace that strengthens our hearts.
We need to Be Anchored in the peace that restores our souls.
We need to Be Anchored in the peace that mends our brokenness.
We need to Be Anchored in the peace that encourages hope.
We need to Be Anchored in the peace that fosters patience.
We need to Be Anchored in the peace that cultivates joy.
We need to Be Anchored in the peace that transcends chaos.
God desires each of us to be bearers of peace.
But to shine forth in peace, we must be deeply grounded, firmly anchored, and intimately connected to Jesus.
You can't claim to follow Christ if your heart hasn’t found His peace.
You can't be a disciple if the Word doesn't ground you.
You can't weather the storms of life without the Prince of Peace as your anchor.
You can’t cultivate and radiate His peace if you’re not anchored in the love and teachings of Jesus.
So, if you’re ready today to let your anchor hold deeply into Him, to embody and radiate His peace, make that commitment anew.
Anchor yourself in the Spirit of Peace, for in His tranquility, you will find rest for your soul.
He calls each of us today—be at peace, be anchored in Jesus, and be fruitful.
