Warning Against Neglect

Hebrews 2:1–4 CSB
For this reason, we must pay attention all the more to what we have heard, so that we will not drift away. For if the message spoken through angels was legally binding and every transgression and disobedience received a just punishment, how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? This salvation had its beginning when it was spoken of by the Lord, and it was confirmed to us by those who heard him. At the same time, God also testified by signs and wonders, various miracles, and distributions of gifts from the Holy Spirit according to his will.

Not Drift Away

Joshua 24:27 CSB
And Joshua said to all the people, “You see this stone—it will be a witness against us, for it has heard all the words the Lord said to us, and it will be a witness against you, so that you will not deny your God.”
Micah 5:13 CSB
I will remove your carved images and sacred pillars from you so that you will no longer worship the work of your hands.
I could continue with Scripture that further reminds us to keep our mind on the Lord and not on desiring evil things, on being fruitful vs being unfruitful:
1 cor
timothy
The scriptures are not few and far between.

Message spoken through Angels. . .

Angels = Messengers, specifically a supernatural being created by God to serve Him
Binding = Valid = proven to be true - trustworthy
Acts 7:53 CSB
You received the law under the direction of angels and yet have not kept it.”
Numbers 15:30 CSB
“But the person who acts defiantly, whether native or resident alien, blasphemes the Lord. That person is to be cut off from his people.

Such a great salvation

Isaiah 45:17 CSB
Israel will be saved by the Lord with an everlasting salvation; you will not be put to shame or humiliated for all eternity.
Salvation had it’s beginning when it was spoken of by the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him.
AND

God (the Father) testified by signs and wonders. . .

Why Signs and wonders?

John 4:48 CSB
Jesus told him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will not believe.”
Acts 2:22 CSB
“Fellow Israelites, listen to these words: This Jesus of Nazareth was a man attested to you by God with miracles, wonders, and signs that God did among you through him, just as you yourselves know.
The Father spoke from heaven

Various Miracles. . .

Distributions of Gifts from the Holy Spirit. . .

Jesus and Humanity

Hebrews 2:5–8 CSB
For he has not subjected to angels the world to come that we are talking about. But someone somewhere has testified: What is man that you remember him, or the son of man that you care for him? You made him lower than the angels for a short time; you crowned him with glory and honor and subjected everything under his feet. For in subjecting everything to him, he left nothing that is not subject to him. As it is, we do not yet see everything subjected to him.
Psalm 8:4–6 CSB
what is a human being that you remember him, a son of man that you look after him? You made him little less than God and crowned him with glory and honor. You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet:
Hebrews 2:9–13 CSB
But we do see Jesus—made lower than the angels for a short time so that by God’s grace he might taste death for everyone—crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death. For in bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was entirely appropriate that God—for whom and through whom all things exist—should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For the one who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters, saying: I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters; I will sing hymns to you in the congregation. Again, I will trust in him. And again, Here I am with the children God gave me.

He Suffered Death

John 3:16 CSB
For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

Should make the Pioneer of their salvation perfect

Pioneer = leader
Luke 24:26 CSB
Wasn’t it necessary for the Messiah to suffer these things and enter into his glory?”

Not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters

Psalm 22:22 CSB
I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters; I will praise you in the assembly.

Here I am with the children God gave me

Isaiah 8:18 CSB
Here I am with the children the Lord has given me to be signs and wonders in Israel from the Lord of Armies who dwells on Mount Zion.
Hebrews 2:14–18 CSB
Now since the children have flesh and blood in common, Jesus also shared in these, so that through his death he might destroy the one holding the power of death—that is, the devil—and free those who were held in slavery all their lives by the fear of death. For it is clear that he does not reach out to help angels, but to help Abraham’s offspring. Therefore, he had to be like his brothers and sisters in every way, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in matters pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people. For since he himself has suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.
Building upon the children that God gave Jesus, as carried forth in Isaiah.
1 Corinthians 15:54–56 CSB
When this corruptible body is clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal body is clothed with immortality, then the saying that is written will take place: Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, death, is your victory? Where, death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

No longer having fear of death.

2 Timothy 1:7 CSB
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound judgment.
Not helping angels but Abraham’s offspring:
Luke 19:9 CSB
“Today salvation has come to this house,” Jesus told him, “because he too is a son of Abraham.
Galatians 3:7–9 CSB
You know, then, that those who have faith, these are Abraham’s sons. Now the Scripture saw in advance that God would justify the Gentiles by faith and proclaimed the gospel ahead of time to Abraham, saying, All the nations will be blessed through you. Consequently, those who have faith are blessed with Abraham, who had faith.
Jesus had to be made of flesh
2 Corinthians 5:21 CSB
He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
