READ Zechariah 10.
The primary work of Christ in redemption is to justify, sanctify and ultimately to glorify a company of persons salvaged from the ruin of the human race.3
A. W. Tozer
God encourages the Church by reminding us of His redemption for those who trust in Him.

1. YHWH calls us to live wisely. (v. 1-3)

Deuteronomy 11:13–14 LSB
13 “And it will be that, if you listen obediently to my commandments which I am commanding you today, to love Yahweh your God and to serve Him with all your heart and all your soul, 14 that I, Yahweh, will give the rain for your land in its season, the early and late rains, that you may gather in your grain and your new wine and your oil.
Anything that stands between God and Us is a tool of the enemy to destroy us; even if its a “good thing.”
Those who lead people to rebel against God are called to caution for the impending judgement against them.
For those who heed the Word of God, and not their selfish ambitions, are transformed in light of God’s glory.
9843 Sanctification is not something our Lord does in me; sanctification is himself in me.
Oswald Chambers (Lecturer and Missionary)

2. YHWH delivers victory by His own hand. (v. 4-9)

Genesis 49:10 LSB
10 “The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes, And to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.
1. God foretells of the Servant who will be the one to conquer all God’s enemies.
Psalm 118:22 LSB
The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief corner stone.
2. In the light of the LORD, the people do not remain the same as in their sin and obstinate attitude.
Luke 20:17 LSB
But when Jesus looked at them, He said, “What then is this that is written: The stone which the builders rejected, This has become the chief corner stone’?
3. The LORD will restore His people, bring many from the nations among them, to make us new.
Revelation 6:2 LSB
Then I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sits on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out overcoming and to overcome.
Remember: you are not fighting for victory, but from victory, for Jesus Christ has already defeated Satan!
Warren W. Wiersbe

3. YHWH Keeps His Promises for His Name Sake. (v. 10-11)

The object of all human history is to glorify God for His holiness and perfection. (Isaiah 6:1-7)
The eternal plan of redemption is to bring people from all corners of the world to glorify YHWH. (Acts 2:1-13)
The Church must find comfort in the truth that regardless of what we go through and challenges we face, God is with us every step of the way. (Psalm 23)
You will never glory in God till first of all God has killed your glorying in yourself.
Charles Spurgeon

4. Trusting and Obeying God is for His Glory and for Our Good. (v. 12)

YHWH is the one who acts on our behalf and works in and trough us—this is called sanctification. (John 17)
YHWH is the one who strengthens and secures us to His glory.
Psalm 29:11 LSB
Yahweh will give strength to His people; Yahweh will bless His people with peace.
YHWH is the one who prepares us for eternity.
Revelation 21:22–27 LSB
And I saw no sanctuary in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its sanctuary. And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb. And the nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. And its gates will never be closed by day, for there will be no night there; and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. And nothing defiled, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
… obedience is taught throughout the entire Bible… true obedience is one of the toughest requirements of the Christian life. Apart from obedience, there can be no salvation, for salvation without obedience is a self-contradictory impossibility.8
A. W. Tozer

5. The Gospel Response:

Have you yet to confess Jesus as your LORD and Savior?—Repent and Confess Your Sins; Confess Jesus as the only King, Priest, and Prophet of your life.
Are you living in unconfessed sin and pride?—As the prodigal son, come back to the Father and confessing your sins, be taken back into the family of faith.
Are you looking for a family of faith to encourage, equip, support, and love you? Then join this fellowship of redeemed sinners who look to worship God alone.
