Christianity in the World- Acts 16:16–24.
Christians are living as “elect exiles,” as Peter tells us (1 Pet. 1:1), we are “sojourners and exiles” (1 Pet. 2:11). Paul tells us that are we citizens of heaven (Phil. 3:20), and that we are looking for a different city that does not reside in this world (Heb. 13:14).
However, we live in this world. Christian parents raise children in this world. Workers engage in their trades in this world. We retire in this world, go to church in this world, and so on and so forth.
The question is, how do we live in light of the potential persecution?
We need to…
Remember our place in the world
Remember our privilege in this world
Remember the Potentate of this world
