John 4:43-55 He Believed Jesus words.
Jesus was traveling from Samaria – Jacobs well where he meets and spend to days, and many “unclean” people believed in Jesus, and that he was the savior of the world the Christ.
In verses 43-45. John lets us know that Jesus is traveling on to Galilee, - And in a comment that people don’t really know who Jesus is and he is not held in honor, in his hometown. But he is welcomed, because people had seen what Jesus had done in Jerusalem. (Sign worker not Lord and Savior).
Jesus seems to address the lack of faith in Who he is, as a man that is desperate comes to ask Jesus to come heal his son. The father had heard about Jesus being there and travels to get Jesus to ask him to come heal his son. The way Jesus respond is interesting, - unless you (plural the people in the Gallie) see signs and wonders you will not believe.
The man’s response “sir/Lord – not son of God, Christ, savoir of the world. – But he keeps pleading with Jesus, come before my child dies. (Prayer). (Do we got to Jesus like that?)
Jesus responds “Go, your son will live”.
The man changed from desperate, now trusts in Jesus’ words – “The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him. And he goes home. (As someone wrote, the water to wine and this healing is hidden only the few will know). (Faith in his words not only his signs?)
Great news comes to the man as his is traveling home some off his servants meet him and tell him that his son was getting better. What Joy!
In 53) the father is asking an important question, was in just by chance or? When did the son start to get better? Right when Jesus had spoken. Wow.
The father knew,it was Jesus’ work, he believed not only that Jesus could save his son, but he was the savoir, and not only him but all in his house.
John count this as Jesus 2 sign.
What does Jesus’ show about himself in this passage?
Jesus can heal people that are not in the same place as Jesus. (Heal Lord of the body DR/healer).
Jesus is not limited, by distance/ proximity. (Is Jesus the one that Isaiah wrote about that could bring people back from near death, bllnd will see, the lame will jump, the mute will sing and the captives will go free? )
Faith and what we believe has a great impact in how we live an what our relationship with Jesus is?
What does the passage say about you? What does you faith look like?
Do you know the Jesus we read about? Who is Jesus? Do you trust and believe in Him?
How did the man respond? Heard, went, asked, believed.
What about you have you done that? Or do you do that? Daliy.
