Joshua 2.
Central idea: God uses a morally unfaithful woman to look out for His people, and she is radically changed.
Objectives: I want the hearers to know (cognitive) that God can use anyone to bring to fruition His plans for His people; I want the hearers to feel comforted and motivated (affective) by the sweetness of God’s grace; I want the hearers to commit to live faithfully before God, making themselves availble to be used by Him.
Guiding Question:
Will you be found faithful?
 Rahab looked out for the spies. [vv. 1-7]
Rahab acknowledged God’s hand at work. [vv. 8-16]
Said otherwise: She acknowledged God’s power.
Rahab and her family took steps necessary to receive the hope offered. [vv. 17-21]
 The spies reported Rahab’s report back to Joshua. [vv. 22-24]
