Change with a purpose

We are not always a fan of change. If I would have come in the sanctuary and set on this side this morning, then my kids would have asked why are we sitting over here?
Change can be hard. What about when your phone gives you up update that you didn’t maybe ask for?
As long as I understand what is about to happen for the change then change is not so bad.
I know and look forward to the latest update and what features might be available.
I tell the kids why we moved or tell them the day before that today we are going to sit on the other side and give them a reason for the change it helps.

“Sometimes, a change in how we do something opens the door for God to do something new. That’s what this summer is all about.”
Acts 2:41–47
Acts 2:41–47 HCSB
41 So those who accepted his message were baptized, and that day about 3,000 people were added to them. 42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to the prayers. 43 Then fear came over everyone, and many wonders and signs were being performed through the apostles. 44 Now all the believers were together and held all things in common. 45 They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as anyone had a need. 46 Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple complex, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with a joyful and humble attitude, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And every day the Lord added to them those who were being saved.

### **3. WHY WE’RE MAKING THIS SHIFT**
**A. To include kids and families more fully in the life of the Church**
Parents to come
B. To show the Church what God is doing all week
This is more than a “program”—it’s a movement.
Our church body gets to *see* and *join* what happens through Summers at the Beach.
C. To be a church without walls
A reminder that Church is not just about Sunday *inside*—it’s about Monday through Saturday *outside*.
* These new rhythms help us live missionally, visibly, joyfully.
**4. CALL TO ACTION: JOIN THE MISSION**
* This isn’t just for kids—it’s for *all of us*.
* Everyone has a role: prayer, teaching, setting up, smiling, playing, inviting.
* **Ask:** “Where will you step in this summer?”
* Invite people to pray over this summer season and commit to embracing the mission.
* If appropriate, have a volunteer or staff member share their heart about how church and program coming together is already having an impact.
*"And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”*
Acts 2:47 HCSB
47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And every day the Lord added to them those who were being saved.
