In Mark 14, a fascinating truth is revealed about the New Covenant brought forth through the blood of Christ. As Jesus and His disciples prepare for a Passover Seder together we see Christ's work as a prophet being revealed before their very eyes. Additionally, we see when coupled with Hebrews 9 that Christ's blood cleanses us of our sin and atones us, additionally, we see that in order to inaugurate a New Covenant as Christ Himself embodies, we see that blood is required- thus Christ on Calvary
